At a ceremony performed in St. Mary's RC Church, Miss Catherine Cecelia Smith, daughter of the late Mr and Mrs William J Smith, and Wilbur F Krieger, son of Mrs Adolph Krieger, Stapleton SI, and the late Mr Krieger were married. The Rev John F Brady, pastor, officiated at the Nuptial Mass which followed the 10 am ceremony.
A breakfast followed In Donohue's and a reception for 100 guests then was held in the same place. The bride, given in marriage by her uncle, wore a white satin delaine gown made with a cathedral length train. Her full veil of illusion was attached to a regency crown of orange blossoms and seed pearls. She carried a bouquet of alba lilies, stephanotis and white cluster orchids.
Miss Patricia Dowd, cousin of the bride, wore an arctic blue satin gown made With a three-tiered skirt. She carried pink briarclif f e roses, blue delphinum and gypsophilla. Her Traynor cap crown was fashioned from arctic blue nylon net.
John Darcey was best man for groom and ushers were Arthur R Krieger brother of the groom, and Thomas E Byrnes, cousin of the bride. Mrs Eugene Wild, soloist, rendered "Ave Maria," "Panis Angelicus," "Mother At Your is Kneeling," "On This Day, O Beautiful Mother," and "Heart of Jesus Near."
The bride's mother wore a light gray crepe dress and shell pink accessories, and the mother of the groom was attired in an aqua crepe gown with black accessories. Each had a corsage of orchids.
After their three week wedding trip through the New England states and Canada, the couple will reside in Stapleton SI.

A memorial Mass for Wilbur F Krieger, who died Sunday in Wayne, will be held at a later date in Paterson. He was born in Stapleton, Staten Island, N.Y., the son of Adolph and Mary (Whyte) Krieger. He owned a summer home in Rutland. He was employed by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey for more than 25 years, retiring in 1970. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Corps serving during World War II. Survivors include his wife, Catherine Krieger of Paterson and Rutland; a son, William Krieger at Paterson; a daughter, Catherine Krieger of Paterson; a brother, Arthur Krieger of Boring OR; a sister, Muriel Passero of Staten Island NY. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society or St Marys Church. Arrangements are under the direction of Festa Memorial Funeral Home
