Ardell Huddleston, Union Temple section, near Dawson Springs, was jailed in bond default by Deputy Sheriff Willie Beshear Wednesday night following arrest on a bench warrant charging wife desertion, and on a county court warrant issued for child desertion. Hearing date is to be set on the latter warrant. Carlotta Marie Huddleston, four-year-old daughter of Mr and Mrs Ardell Huddleston, Dawson at 9:30 am today while receiving treatment in the office of Dr E F Cole. Dr J E Johnston, Nortonville, who had been treating the girl, and Dr C R Morton, county health officer, were quoted as saying today that the child, who had been ill nine days, died from typhus fever. Dr! Cole said that he administered treatment to the child Saturday night and that the girl was in a dying condition when brought to his office this morning. This was the Huddleston's only child. A private funeral will be conducted in Nortonville and burial will be in New Salem Cemetery, near Nortonville.
