Funeral services are planned at 2 p. m. Wednesday at the Horton Baptist Church in Horton for Mrs. Blanche Annis, 71, of 1113 Jefferson St., who died Saturday at 4 p. m. at the Woodlawn Convalescent Home of a stroke. She had been a resident of the home for 11 days. Previously to that time she had made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Doris Manson. Mrs. Annis was born In Bremer county Jan. 7, 1887, the daughter of Ozem and Lula Thompson. She was a Bremer county resident until moving here [Waterloo] with her daughter, last April. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Manson, Mrs. Fern Mackey, and Mrs. Marjorie Smith, both of Plainfield; 10 grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; three brothers, Ben of 508 Bluff, Cedar Falls, Howard of Clark, S. D., and Kenneth of 601 Dundee. St.; three sisters, Mrs. Pearl Pierce and Mrs. Will Oberdiear, both of Plainfleld and Mrs. Ruth Larson of Janesvllle, Wis. She was preceded In death by her husband and her parents. The family requests contributions to the church fund be made in lieu of flowers.
