Pulaski County Sheriff Frank Mackey today assigned two officers to investigate the Monday slaying of a young housewife and her two small children. "There are just no leads," Mackey said this morning. "But we've got two men on the case and we're trying to learn something today." Mackey identified the victims as Mrs. Judith Ann Moody, 24, and her daughters, Rebecca Ann, 3, and Karen Lee, 11 months.
The three were shot to death sometime between 9:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday, Mackey said. He said he had not received a report from the medi cal examiner to determine the approximate time of death.
John Moody, 27, the husband, was at work at the U.S. Time Corp. in Little Rock at the time ol the shooting, Mackey said.
The Moody's lived in a modest frame home a few miles west of the Pulaski-Lonoke line.
Mackey said the bodies were discovered about 3:30 p.m. by Moody's mother, Mrs. Gracie Hester of Cabot. He said Mrs. Moody's mother, Eloise Sylvester of North Little Rock, talked with her daughter about 9:30 a.m. Mrs. Moody's body was found in her bedroom and the children in their bedroom, Mackey said.
The sheriff said each was shot but he declined to say how many times or with what type weapon. Mackey said no weapon was near the scene.

Edward Tribble, 27, wanted for questioning in connection with four recent murders, was killed Saturday night when his car wrecked about 12 miles south of here during a high-speed chase with police. Little Rock Police Chief R. E. Bnans said authorities wanted to question Tribble in connection with the death of Willeen Knight Feb 9 in Little Rock and the shooting of Mrs. Judith Ann Moody and her two daughters April 10 near Cabot.
