      Mary Lucinda Rubottom, 87, of Desloge passed away November 17, 2015, at Park Hills. She was born May 13, 1928, at Flat River. Mary Lou graduated from Flat River High School and Flat River Junior College. Following the death of her first husband, she enrolled at Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau and graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education and went to work R-3 Central Schools. Mary Lou continued her education and earned a Master's Degree three years later. She was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Farmington; a member of the Missouri Retired Teachers Association, Beta Sigma Phi, Gamma Tau Mu Camping Group, and a long-time volunteer at Parkland Hospital. She was preceded in death by her parents, Carrol Alfred and Myrtle (Hood) Ledbetter; first husband, Robert Dale Spray; second husband, Byron "Bud" Rubottom; brother, Carrol Lee Ledbetter; and daughter-in-law, Patricia (Jones) Spray. Mary Lou is survived by her daughter, Cindy (Bill) Simpson; son, Robert Joe Spray; step-sons, Steve Rubottom and Kevin (Lori) Rubottom; and step-daughter, Debbie Thorn-bury, all of Owasso, Oklahoma. Sister-in-law, Norma Ledbetter of Jonesboro, Arkansas; four grandchildren, Megan Spray of Benton, Illinois; Andrea Spray of Bonne Terre, Brandon Leonard of Farmington, and Tim (Kaylee) Leonard of Fredericktown; four step-grandchildren, Chris (Kathy) Lenhardt of Desloge, and Sara (Dale) Pitts, Kallee (Scott) Karr, and Ryan (Laura) Thornbury, all of Oklahoma. Beloved great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews, and many friends also survive. Visitation will be 6 p.m. Thursday, November 19, 2015, at Horton Wampler Funeral Home in Park Hills. A funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, November 20, 2015, at Horton-Wampler Funeral Home with Rev. Bill Miller officiating. Burial will be at St. Francois Memorial Park Cemetery.
