    6. [S618] Man accused of digging up, moving brother's remains from cemetery, (Name: KFVS12; Location: Cape Girado MO; Date: 2013;), Roger Twomey facing charges.
A Fredericktown man faces felony charges after allegedly digging up a burial site in St. Francois County.
In February 2012, Ronald Twomey was laid to rest in a cemetery in Bismarck.
Family members say for almost two years they've been coming to the grave site to mourn the loss of their brother. It wasn't until about a month and a half ago that they find out he wasn't there"
Roger Twomey is charged with knowingly disturbing and destroying a burial site. Investigators say he allegedly dug up his brother's cremated remains.
Family members didn't want to go on camera, but deputies say their main goal is to get their loved one back where he belongs.
"That's where he was put to begin with and to be able to be at peace and rest, the family has just been in turmoil over the whole ordeal. And they would like to have him back where he was," said Deputy Kristen Tate with the St. Francois County Sheriff's Department.
Deputy Tate says it's not clear where the remains were taken.
"They believe that Roger took him back to his property and buried him there, trying to start a Twomey cemetery, but we don't know exactly for sure," Tate said.
According to the probable cause statement, Roger Twomey admitted to the crime.
That document makes reference to text messages from Roger Twomey to his brother. Investigators say those messages show Roger admitting to digging up Ronald's cremains and moving them to an unknown location.
The brother of the man who was buried there, Allen Dunleavy, says the suspect should be held accountable for what he's done.
As of now, a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Dunleavy says a new headstone has been ordered to be placed at the site. He says then friends and family of his brother can once again come to mourn.
