Mrs. Mary Tempa Ann Williams, daughter of the late Andrew Jackson and Amanda Geisler Mayes, was born near Pilot Knob, Mo., on December 6, 1878 and passed away at the home of her son, Row V. Williams, 418 S. Henry St., Farmington, on January 21, 1963, being 74 years, one month, and 15 days of age. She was united in marriage to John Williams, on August 12, 1897, at King School, near Doe Run. He preceded her in death several years ago. Six children were born to this union, all of whom survive. Besides Roy V. Williams, before mentioned, they are: Leo Williams and Evelyn (Mrs. Clem) McDowell, of Route One, Ironton; Henry of Iron Mountain; Arthur, of Yerington, Nev.; and Mrs. Bertha McDowell, of Farmington; also two step-children, Mrs. Edith Mitchell of Cantwell, and Mrs. E~~ Key of Farmington; nine step-grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs. Minnie Gibson of St. Louis and Mrs. Lena Hodges, of Potosi. Funeral services will be held at Pendleton Church of Doe Run, this afternoon, Thursday,

Hope Viola "Ely" Williams, 84, of Ironton, died June 30 at Arcadia Valley Hospital. She was born Jan. 3, 1907 in Atchison, Kans., to the late George Washington and Selina Lettie Martin Ely. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Henry Williams; one brother, Raymond; and two sisters: Ruth and Mable. She is survived by three sons: John H. Williams of Belleview, Paul B. Williams of Arcadia, Alonzo ( Lonnie) G. Williams of Bismarck; three daughters: Selina H. (Mrs. Franklin) Boatright of Bismarck, Ruth Ann Gunning, and Gayla M. Williams, both of Ironton; 16 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Cozean Funeral Home in Farmington today after 6 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday at the First Christian Church of Flat River with the Rev. Rodger Kiepi officiating, assisted by Naval Chaplain Henry Wayne Boatright. Burial will follow at the Masonic Cemetery at Bismarck. Memorials may be made to the Flat River First Christian Church.
