Funeral services for Oliver (Ollie) Armbruster, a former resident of Festus, will be conducted this morning (Thursday) at 9 oclock at Sacred Heart Church. Funeral will be from Vinyard Chapel to the church, and burial will be in the Catholic cemetery. Mr. Armbruster, who was 54 years of age, died Monday at 2 p.m. In the Veterans Hospital In Maywood, HL, a suburb of Chicago, where he lived. He was bom March 12, 1894, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Lanten Armbruster, prominent residents of Festus some years ago The Armbruster family operated a furniture store here a number of years past after serving In World War I, Mr. Armbruster returned to Festus, where he lived until 19 years ago, when he moved to Collinsville and later to Chicago, where he has made his home the past 12 years. He Is survived by a brother and sister, Robert Armbruster and Mrs. Kathryn Flgge, both of Chicago. He was a nephew of Mrs. E, Kerrulsh and Mrs. C. E. Miller of Festus.

Making good her husband's dare to commit suicide, Mrs. Wilma Libby Armbiuster, 27, bride of two months and former Marysville resident, shot and killed herself Sunday in Chicago, her second husband, Oliver, 42, told police. A police captain quoted Armbruster as saying he believed his wife, the former Mrs. Harry Libby, jr., was "bluffing" when she threatened to end her life following an all-night quarrel, according to an Associated Prtss dis-dispatch received by the News. The second husband, a salesman, said his wife fired a shot into her right temple after he had shown her how to use a revolver. He was held for investigation and released after he had twice been questioned under a "lie detector." Libby, federal court reporter, and former Union Pacific office employe here, who was divorced from Mrs. Armbruster last November, told police his former wife had severU times threatened to commit suicide while intoxicated. Has A Small Daughter Mrs. Armbruster is the mother of a seven-year-old daughter by her first marriage. The child, who until recently was living with its grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Hariy Libby, sr., 406 Calhoun street, is visiting with her grandmother, Mrs. G. Mohler of Robinson. Mrs. Armbruster was born in Robinson, and was living there at the time of her marriage to Libby. Mrs. Armbruster left a note with the apartment hotel clerk addressed to her former husband. It concerned their daughter. It set forth: "To Libby from Wilma: Leave Lindell Mae where she is-and see that she is taken care of." Finding his wife drinking in a tavern with another man, Armbruster told police a quarrel with her followed. After rebuking her, the two went to their apartment where the quarrel was resumed. , Armbruster said he slapped his wife several times, left the apartment, and returned about 4 a. m. - Mrs. Armbruster threatened to kill herself as the quarreling was resumed. The salesman said she took a revolver from a'dresser, and cried hysterically: "I don't know how to use it." Shows Her How To Shoot ' Taking the weapon from her, Armbruster, said he released the safety catch and,. fired into the floor. . "That's how to work it," he said he told her, "now go ahead. I dare you." Armbruster said he dropped the weapon on a couch, and turned hia back, believing his wife was bluffing. An explosion followed, and turning, he saw his wife drop to the floor. She was unconscious to the end. -. A marriage license was Issued to Harry Libby jr., here March 3, 1928. The couple was married by Rev. Walter C. Green, Robinson Methodist pastor.
