      Margaret Hazel Bliner Pulsifer, 72, Seattle, formerly of Shelton died Tuesday Aug 15 1989 in Highline Community Hospital, Seattle.
      She was bom Jan 14, 1917 to Alfred and Sophia (Hoptowit) Blodgett in White Swan-Medicine Valley near Yakima and grew up there. She attended schools In Medicine Valley and Chemawa Indian School in Oregon. On Sept 16, 1935, she was married to Horace F Bliner in Tacoma. Mr Bliner died in 1955. Mrs Bliner lived in Tacoma until 1957 then moved to Shelton where she was married to Robert Pulsifer The Pulsifers moved to Pacific Beach and lived there until 1960. In 1972 they moved to Seattle.
      Mrs Pulsifer was an active member of the American Indian Elders at the Daybreak Star Cultural Center in Seattle and the Yakima Indian Nation, the American Legion Auxiliary, and St Thomas Catholic Church in Seattle. She also was actively involved in the American Gold Star Mothers, Inc, since the loss of her youngest son, John Edward Bliner who died in action in Vietnam July 15 1969. Surviving are two sons, Horace Bliner, Kent and Steven Bliner, Seattle; two daughters, Frankie Mork, Santa Clara CA and Viola Rouse, Puyallup; three sisters, Mrs George Moore, Toppenish, Mrs Peter Alney, Wapato, and Christine Finley, The Dalles OR; four brothers, Willam and James, both of White Swan Dan, Wapato, and David, Yakima; also 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Mr Pulsifer preceded her death. The funeral service for Mrs Pulsifer will begin at 1 pm Saturday Aug 19 in McComb and Batstone Funeral Home, Shelton. Burial will be in Shelton Memorial Park. Arrangements are by McComb and Batstone Funeral Home.
