Willie Cleveland Smith, 74 died yesterday morning at his home, 31-C Summitt Heights, after an illness of two weeks.
Funeral services will be at 2pm Sunday at Madison Street Church of Christ. JO Jones and FP Taylor will officiate, and burial will be in Rest Haven Gardens.
Mr Smith was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County, son of the lateMcFern and Mattie Smith. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs Annie Shrader Smith; seven sons, Lewis F Smith, Cedar Hill, Tenn, Jesse H, Clinton H, Harlons, JW, William D, and Robert E Smith, all of Clarksville; three daughters, Mrs Bracy Bryant, Clarkesville, Mrs John Parker, Needmore Community, Mrs Sam Shemwell; Clarksville; two half brothers, McFern Smith, Nashville, Lurton Smith, Knoxville; a half sister, Mrs AB Vaughn, Clarksville; 32 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

Mrs Smith was born In Christian County KY, August 6, 1891, daughter of the late John and Susie Hester Shrader. Her husband, Willie C Smith, died in 1959. Survivors are six sons, Lewis, Cedar Hill; Jesse, Harlon, and James, all of Clarksville; Dewane, Joliet IL; Robert Smith, Lockport IL; three daughters, Mrs Mabel Bryant, and Mrs Catherine Shemwell, both of Clarksville; Mrs Susie Parker, Gunnersville AL; four sisters, Mrs Vester Smith, Clarksville; Mrs Johnny Smith and Mrs Myrtle Smith, both of Woodlawn; Mrs Virble Kennedy, Evansville IN; 34 grandchildren, 20 great grandchildren. She was a member of the Madison Street Church of Christ. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.

A 12 weeks' illness of paralysls caused the death Wednesday of Gus Smith, 44, farmer of the Indian Mound, in Stewart county, who was buried In the family cemetery Friday.
He was a native of Montgomery county and was a brother of Harry Smith, deputy county court clerk. Mr. Smith was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Mack Smith.
Surviving are his widow who was Mis Viola Bryant; two sons, Vernle of Indian Mound, and another, nine-year-old; six brothers, Lurton Smith, Miami Fla.; Allen Smith, Dickson, Harry, Clarksville: Walter and Will Smith, Stewart county; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Bryant, Mrs. Emma Bryant and Mrs. A. Vaughan, all of Indian Mound. Mr. Smith was a member of the Methodist church and enjoyed a wide acquaintance.

The body of Mrs Blanche Smith, 86 years old, who died unexpectedly at the home of a son, Joe T Allen, in Miami Springs, Fla, early Wednesday night, while on a visit therewill be conveyed to Cedar Hill, Tenn., for funeral services.
The body will arrive at the home of a brother, E L Payne, Saturday Morning. Funeral Services will be conducted from the residence at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon by the Rev Frank P Taylor and burial will be in the Elmwood Cemetery at Springfield. Pallbearers will be LT Payne, Golde Smith, W H Smith, Rock Powers, LJ Shoemaker, Lucian Clark, Elliott Smith, and Ford Harris.
Mrs Smith was twice married and both husbands preceded her in death. Her first husband was William Allen. Of this union, three sons survive: James T Allen, Biloxi Miss; Joe T Allen, Miami; and F B Allen, Cheatam County.
