Mrs. Ann Bybee Leaves Eighty Acres of Fine Land
• Council Bluffs. Aug. 10 "For the benefit of the poor," is the wording of a deed conveying to Pottawattamie county a fine farm of nearly eighty-acres in the northwest corner of Hazel Dell township. The donor was Mrs. Ann Bybee, who died last Thursday morning at the home of her stepdaughter. Mrs. Mary Ransom, in Crescent. The property is estimated to be worth at least 10,000. Mrs. Bybee was seizeded with the idea of giving her farm to the poor people of Pottawattamie county over thirty months before her death. She called upon N. Swanson, postmaster a Crescent, and at her suggestion he prepared the documents by which her real estate is now proposed to be settled.
