Mrs Dorothy B Reed 40 died at her home here this afternoon following a long illness. She had been a resident here 14 years.
She was born in Bangor, the daughter of Charles M and the late Ida H Brady and attended Bangor public schools and Farmington State Normal school, after which she taught ln Lincoln schools.
During this time Mrs Reed became a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and was a past worthy matron of the Lincoln chapter.
She was a member of the Millinocket First Congregational church, the Rebekah lodge, and was a past president of the Millinocket Philharmonic club.
Survivors are her husband, Edmund B Reed Jr, a son David E, her father Charles M Brady, and a brother Charles M Brady Jr, both of Bangor, an aunt Grace H Scott of Lincoln.
