He was married to Katie Gamble May 1916 at Cheyenne, who preceded him in 1943. He was married to Effte Rowe Sayre, in 1950. He was a long-time member of the First Baptist church. His parents, two sisters and three brothers preceded him. Survivors are his wife of the home, two daughters, Mrs Iris Pennington, Reydon, and Mrs Rita Thompson, Lawton, three stepdaughters, Mrs. Juanita Shaw, Hobart, Mrs Thelma Calhoun, Oklahoma City, Mrs. Edith Barber, Crawford; five grandchildren, two great grandchildren; two sisters, Mrs Effte Lee of Hickory, Mrs Leah Olson, Grimes; two brothers Luther of Grimes and Bill of Oklahoma City.
