Mr. Sanderson was a 1934 graduate of Mayfield High School, and was a two-time All-State football player as named by the Louisville Courier Journal in 1933 and 1934, He was a member of Enon Baptist Church, Surviving are his wife, Dorothy Brown Sanderson; three daughters, Ann Snow of Little Rock AR, and Gail Stroup and Tammy Clayton, both of Mayfield; five grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. His parents were James N Sanderson and Esther Holland Sanderson.
