      James A McCoy, born in St Francois County, Missouri, August 8, 1900, and died at the Veterans Hospital at Outwood, Kentucky, Tuesday, May 7, 1940 at the age of 39 years, 8 months and 29 days. He was the son of John Edward and Ollie McCoy.
      In 1926 he was united in Marriage to Anna Pearl Strickland of Cantwell who proceeded him in death five years. Later he was united in marrjage to Miss Edna Dewey of Flat River.
      He leaves three children by his first marriage James Jr, age 11 years; Robert Eugene age 11 years and John Franklin, age 5 years. He also leaves five brothers and sisters, John of Herculaneum; Moses of Galveston TX; Mrs. Betty Kendrix of St Louis; Mrs Lillian Middleton and Mrs Violet Hammon of Flat River; his mother, Mrs Carl Rogers of Granlteville MO; other relatives and friends.
      His father and one daughter, Annabelle preceded him in death. Funeral service was held at two o'clock this afternoon (Tuesday) at the Cantwell Baptist Church by the pastor, Rev R R Watts with burial at Primrose under the direction of Caldwell's Service.
