William Holis Heflin, 66, retired carpenter of Fort Campbell's Post Engineers, died at 5 pm Monday. The resident of Cumberland Heights was dead on arrival at Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm, Wednesday, at Sunnyview Baptist Church by the Rev L P Sego, with Murphy and Gupton in charge of arrangements. The body will remain at the residence until time for the funeral. Burial will be in Riverview Cemetery.
Mr Heflln was a resident of Montgomery County for 23 years and a son of the late George and Julie Johnson Heflin. He was born in Indian Mound October 23, 1893. He was a member of the Sunnyview Baptist Church.
Survivors include his widow, Mrs Eunice Robertson Heflin, to whom he was married on Decem ber 24, 1919 at Big Rock; two sons, Elmo and Douglas Heflin, Clarksville; a sister, Mrs Wesley Bryant, Clarksville and three brothers, Ewing Heflin, Terre Haute IN, Charlie Heflin, Oakwood Community, and Clayton Heflin, Clarksville. Serving as pallbearers will be Frank Heflin, Rex Heflin, Bailey Heflin, Fred Robertson, Thurmond Robertson, and Sanford James.
