      ZULMA HARDING MADRELL, 86 died Feb 7 1999 at an Ellsworth health-care facility. She was born Dec 17 1912 in Trinidad British West Indies the daughter of Samuel Duncan and Lillian (DeSilva) Harding.
      She moved with her children to Maine in 1955 and since that time was a member of St Dunstan's Episcopal Church. Zulma graduated from Holy Name Convent Trinidad and the Long Island College of Nursing NYC. From 1958 until her retirement in 1977, the majority of her nursing career was at Maine Coast Memorial Hospital in obstetrical nursing where she enjoyed new mothers and newborn babies. She will be remembered by many former patients and fellow workers as a caring and skilled nurse. She loved gardening and her close-knit family was her life.
      She is survived by her beloved family,

Funeral services will be held 10 am Wednesday Feb 10 at Dunstan's Episcopal Church Ellsworth with the Rev Christopher Chornyak officiating. Interment will be in East Lamoine Cemetery Lamoine. Contributions in her memory may be made to St Dunstan's Church, State Street Ellsworth, Maine Coast Memorial Hospital Obstetrical Ward and/or Nursery or a charity of choice.
