KIMBALL, JR., Maxwell entered into eternal rest on Saturday, October 28, 2006, Maxwell Crooks Kimball, Jr., MD. He was born in Cincinnati, Ohio to Maxwell Crooks Kimball, Sr. and Emma Miller Kimball on May 18, 1927. Dr. Kimball was a graduate of the University of Cincinnati, the University of Kentucky Medical School (first graduating class), and the Anesthesia Residency Program at MUSC. He served in the US Navy during WW II in the Philippines and Pacific Theater. Dr. Kimball is survived by five daughters, Kathryn Holmstrom (Rick) of Crawfordsville, IN, Alecia Bodie of Lexington, KY, Kimberly Dohrman of Grand Forks, ND, Allison Kimball of Charleston, SC, and Kaitlin Kimball of Kent State, OH; three sons, Richard Kimball (Macie) of Charleston, SC, James Kimball (Amy) of Edgewater Park, NJ, and William Kimball of Keystone, SD, and seven grandchildren, Christina, Stephanie, and Jennifer Holmstrom of Crawfordsville, IN, Zachary and Garrett Bodie of Lexington, KY, Emily Kimball of Edgewater Park, NJ, and Kelly Kimball of Charleston, SC. He is also survived by one sister, Mary Keebler of Chesterfield, MI; one brother, LTC Albert Kimball USA (Ret.) of Vincennes, IN, and numerous nieces and nephews. Dr. Kimball was a member of the Disabled American Veterans, the American Legion Post 91, Austin, MN, the Veterans of Foreign Wars, The Marine Corps Association, The American Radio Relay League, and the Sampson WW II Navy Veterans Organization. He also belonged to the American College of Anesthesiologist, the American Medical Association, and was a Kentucky Colonel. Burial and memorial services will be private at Arlington National Cemetery.
