Giesler, Noah St. Louis Co. gave sworn statement Date: 27 Dec 1862 Reel: F1325 "Charges against Noah Giesler - Prisoner at Fort Bozman, Rolla, MO. Charge 1st = Violation of Oath Specification: In this that said Noah Giesler did on or about the 13th of March 1862 take the oath of allegiance to the U.S. Govt and that after taking said oath, the said Giesler did on or abouth the last of July 1862 join Col. Johnston (Rebel). Returned home in August 1862 and joined the 36th MO Vols. Inft." Charge 2nd - Horse Stealing Specification: In this that he Noah Giesler did on or about the first day of August in company with six or seven others at the premises of John Copeland of Maries County, MO a Union man and took from him three horses.
