Ai S Murphy, 76, died Nov 12 1983, at his home in Northeast Harbor. He was born in Trenton Sept 9 1907, the son of Eugene and Nina (Seavy) Murphy. He was a gardiner and caretaker in Northeast Harbor for many years. He was also known for his wood carvings. He belonged to the Northeast Harbor Masonic Lodge No 208. He is survived by his beloved wife Libby (Tucker) Murphy; two sons, Maurice and Timothy; one daughter, Patricia all of Northeast Harbor; three beloved stepchildren, Susan Mcgarr, and James Morrison, both of Northeast Harbor, and Theresa Busby of Topsham; two sisters, Martha Pierce of Mount Desert, and Mrs Raymond (Margaret) Young of Riverside RI; seven grandchildren; three greatgrandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held from the Fernold Funeral Chapel, Mount Desert, with the Rev Malcolm Bigelow and Rev Paul Malicote officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery Northeast Harbor Friends and family invited at the Chapel with Masonic services. If friends desire contributions in his memory may be given to the Mount Desert Public Health Nursing Association or the Northeast Harbor Ambulance Fund.
