Frances H Sargent, 68, wife of the late Percy Sargent died June 1 1994 at a local health care center. She was born in Castine Feb 3 1926, the daughter of Leon J and Ella J (Morey) Bakeman. She is survived by 11 children, Jane Tardiff and her husband Frederick of E Orlond, Carolyn Jernigan and her husband Ronald of South Carolina, Percy Jr of Florida, Linda Harriman and her husband John of Hampden, Richard of Bangor, Janice Clingerman of Glenburn, Janet Burns and her husband Gerald of Kenduskeag, Gary and Stephen both of Bangor, David of Orono, and Deborah of Bangor, a granddaughter Leisha Gordon whom she raised, 33 grandchildren, four greatgrandchildren, three brothers and five sisters, Woodrow Bakeman of Castine, Rena Block of Rockland, Julia Weover of Thomoston, Lenora Brockelbank of Orlond, Bessie Mixer and Lena Bakeman both of Castine, Norwood Bakeman of Penobscot, and Earl Bakeman of Castine, many nieces nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by two sisters Myra Brockelbank and Alice Bakeman. A graveside service will be held at Mount Hope Cemetery Bangor with the Rev Robert Robb, pastor of the Holden Congregational Church officiating. Friends and family are invited to meet at the Mount Hope Cemetery office State Street entrance. Arrangements by Kiley-Birmingham Funeral Home.
