Pvt Kenny Cummings, 28, is reported missing in action in Korea, since July 16.
His wife, Mrs Leona VVaughn Cummings, Clarksville, said that she received a telegram from the War Department August 23.
Pvt Cummings is a native of Richwood, West Virgina; he attended the Richwood High School.
Cummings has served in the army for about 7 years. He was assigned to the 24 division. Pvt Cummings was sent to Japan August 26, 1949.
He has a wife, Mrs Leona Vaughan Cummings, Clarksvllle; one son, David Cummings, 26 months old; one sister; and four brothers. His father-in-law, Alonzo Vaughan, is employed at the Piggly Wiggly store on 2nd street.

Mrs Leona Vaughan Cummings received a telegram last night informing her that the body of her husband Pvt Kennie Cummings, Korean casualty, will arrive at Rlchwood, WV at 4:45 Tuesday, June 12. It will be shipped from Jersey City, NJ with a military escort by train. Pvt Cummings was killed in action July 16, 1950, shortly after he went to the Korean war from Japan. Before going to Japan he was stationed at Fort Campbell KY, and served as military escort to bodies of soldiers returned to the states.
Mrs Cummings, with her three-year-old son, David and her father, A B Vaughan plan to leave Saturday on the 12:35 train for Dayton, Ohio to join families of her brothers-in-law to go with them to Rlchwood where Pvt Cummings parents, Mr and Mrs David Cummlngs live.
The funernl for Pvt Cummings is set for Thursday at Simmons Funeral Home where the body wil be taken.
